Cabinet approves ₹10,000 crore scheme to build a domestic container manufacturing industry
The Union Cabinet on October 28, 2026 cleared a ₹10,000 crore scheme running to 2039–40 that pays manufacturers per container sold and aims to raise India's container-making capacity about tenfold to 7.5 lakh TEUs a year.
