Europe’s Hera probe sees DART’s target asteroid Dimorphos for the first time
ESA said on October 27, 2026 that its Hera spacecraft has resolved the Didymos binary asteroid into two objects for the first time. The probe is about to begin a detailed investigation of Dimorphos, the moonlet NASA's DART deflected in 2022.
